Burnout
Improve your ability to cope and adjust to personal and professional stressors, communicate more effectively, and make healthy changes
Burnout is not an easy experience to define. Nearly half of my current clients are experiencing some form of professional burnout, many in healthcare.
The treatment of burnout is an emerging field.
According to the World Health Organization Burnout is defined as:
"a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. It is characterized by three dimensions:
feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion, increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one's job, reduced professional efficacy."
If this sounds familiar to you whether it be due to work or personal difficulties I can help.
I will help you to identify the varied, complex ways in which you interact with and respond to the demands of your life. This will include in depth discussions about how you're functioning within your personal and professional relationships, mood patterns, awareness of and alignment with your values, and current stress management techniques.
Through this process you will gain valuable insight into how these areas of concern are all interrelated. In building skills in one area, you should expect to see a domino effect into other areas of your life. I will help you break the cycles of over extending yourself, avoiding or not prioritizing your own wants and needs, and focusing too much on just one aspect of your life.
If you are interested in learning more about how I can help with your unique needs consider scheduling a 15 minute consultation call. Email and text are also available for any questions or self schedule an intake here.
